Seeing that Sterling Mustang brings back many fond memories. Was this the old time event. Did it have the flaps locked or moving? :!

Moving. I think it was flown in Old Time. The Fox 35 sounded more like an FP .25. This ship was very fast. Slow combat fast. I had a hard time keeping up with it when trying to get a photo.

You think you had a hard time keeping up with it Elwyn, you should have been on the handle end. I need to tame that Fox down a bit. I was doing the climb and dive, and my brain was still doing level laps. Had good line tension though.

Jim I really like your Mustang. I built a lot of them in the 50's. I bet if I saw them now I would think they were pretty crude. I built one for old time with fixed flaps back in the early 90's I did well with it but I always wondered if it was going to make the pull out on the vertical eight. I finally loned it and never got it back. I have plans so maybe I will build another.

Thanks Ed. I built one back in the 60's and thought it was a fairly good flyer and was a lot of fun. I won this kit at Tulsa a few years ago in the raffle, and it was a real hoot to build and fly one again. Brought back a lot of good memories. Made me realize once again that the simple planes can be so much fun. My first one had moveable flaps also.
