2013 Nats trash talk, prognostication and wager thread
« on: June 08, 2013, 03:25:12 PM »
I saw where Derek suggested it was time and we are straining at the leash to begin this sacred act.  The rules are as follows;

1.

2.

3.

To begin I'll just say Desperado is going to a gunfight.

When is the chit flingin' going to start? Where's Derek and Howard when we need'um? This is too dull, IMO... ;) ;) ;)  Steve

PS: Howard is at the Auburn Airport (Dick Scobee Field) right now. Practising, and testing a mega-spread of VGs, assuming that the JCT has finished his DQ cone. Derek must be buffing his new dawg.

With all the bantering of last year, how close was it?   Or who did come the closest to forcasting the Open results?   And Dave if get it together on the official days like I have seen you fly before, you should be in contention for the Walker.  Just don't trim yourself out of the running like another individual we know.   Remember the first Chickopee NATS?

In looking at the early entries so far I see 22 open, 7 Advanced and 9 in the new Expert class.  It would appear many are moving up from advanced rather than over from Open.......

I saw Derek's new plane flying this weekend.  It looks very, very good.  He put up dozens of  practice flights with it.

I wish that I could fly good enough to participate in the "Trash Talk"
When it came to baseball and street racing, I considered myself an authority on "Trash Talk".

I have a pretty good idea of what it takes to make the big time in Control Line Precision Aerobatics, and you are all heros in my book.
All of you hot shots have my due respect, and I wish you all the best at the upcoming NATS.

Fly your best and have a great time doing it.

It looks like my favorites, Brett, Dave and Ted will not be competing, so my money is on Paul, Howard, Derek and Doug, in that order.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!  I wish I could be there.

Sorry guys I was busy polishing my towering awesomeness this weekend and did not have time to participate in the trash talk. Now I am back to work where I have unlimited internet time so, game on!

I pity the fools who come to Muncie with delusions of beating the Cutlass and I. You all will be weighed, you all will be measured, and you all will be found wanting.

Good luck!

My prediction is

1. Me

2. Doug and Paul can fight for second...

1. Me

I really have no idea how this will turn out, plane is flying like crap and we have had ZERO weather here this year. I have had 6 practice flights since February! I will be doing good to make the top 20.

Let's see:

1. Dave
2. Paul
3. Brett
4. Howard.

Oh, wait, that was the placing at the NWR. Hmmm, could be repeated except that Derek will slip in there somewhere.   LL~

There are several dark horses too, if they would just show up... One in particular took a lay off, and dare I say, his pattern looks improved to the point where lay-off's were suggested as a required part of his normal routine. ...And this is someone no stranger to the top 5 to begin with...  :o

Derek, don't you remember from my experience at king orange that VGs create a laminar flow such that the low pressure sucked it off my plane.

Now, my predictions for the NATS after careful analysis is:

Derek, Paul Doug.

Good luck guys!! Wish I could be there

Remember, the PREDATOR is on the hunt for you!

In my first fly off, the Predator came out ahead of last years Nats plane, even with it's updates.

The Predator is now ready for prime time.

Remember, if you're not moving forward, you're moving backwards.  My planes are moving forward, your's aren't. Be prepared for the outcome!

Back to trash talk...

Time for the sage wisdom of the all knowing RB. We wuz all last in 2012 except for Dougie, cuz RB says so! Y'all better prepare to be last again!

I looked up Riff Raff in the freeonlinedictionary,

riff·raff (rfrf)
n.
1. People regarded as disreputable or worthless.
2. Rubbish; trash.

So, I want you guys to keep on thinking the above applies...

Then all of a sudden this thing will stomp in from nowhere with no one lookig for it!! BOOM!!

Now this thread is showing some promise!  I am sure we will get to the usual level of delusional, egomaniacal, bullsh*t very soon now!

It's also quite illuminating in terms of psychology, more or less the internet equivalent of whistling in a graveyard.

Got a couple of flights in last night....

First one at dusk.

Second one,,,,,I like using the moon as a marker for intersections.

I can't fly during the day
So, I fly at night
Most think there is no way

I was out to the "ranch" Friday and saw that Walker guy fly. Wow, he is looking great!!!

He said he was getting ready for the first "kill" for the Predator at a competition next weekend. Once it gets a taste of blood in its mouth it will be hard to stop at the NAT's.

Watch out for that plane!

Dang Predator......Flew in its first contest and was not able to put up a 600 point score.  Only got a 599.5..

I guess I'll have to get out last years plane as it has proven that it can get 600 point scores on a regular basis.

Oh well, the best laid plans!  :(

What really rattled him was that the FDHA did not have the usual 20-point margin above the JV.

Dang Predator......Flew in its first contest and was not able to put up a 600 point score.  Only got a 599.5..

I guess I'll have to get out last years plane as it has proven that it can get 600 point scores on a regular basis.

Oh well, the best laid plans!  :(

599.5, that's it...  Come on Bro!  There's more in the tank,,,er,,,,uh,,,,Battery!!! ;D ;D ;D

I sneaked in a 590 on Father's day.  But that's along way from 599.5.

Yeah, VG's or not, things aren't going well. I probably won't make the trip that far east.

Too bad...:(
