10/25 finish !
« on: October 27, 2017, 04:35:06 PM »
Looks Like 10 points from 25 ft away.
My goal was to lose weight and mostly in the tail. ( that's what she said)

I think I have done the best I could for what it is. I stripped it down and replaced a few panels. I airbrushed acrylic paint on and did not mask anything. I did that so I would not pull up any paint. And have that airbrushed look. 2k over entire plane. It is what it is. A tool. 52oz. PA 40UL.

I too like the looks of the affect it has.    How you got nice straight lines with an air brush is amazing.

So you used acylic paint.. then clear coated? Hmmm that opens up options on my end and I have quite a bit of acrylic from my plastic modeling....

Yep. Tamiya paints.
This plane was painted with it as well on the top.

Jimmy Lynch is Da Man. He has been teaching me how to build and his finishing  techniques.
I'm a slow learner.😜

And as he always tells me ... it's just balsa wood and paper.

Tamiya paints.

I've been using them for years and have mentioned this in my many Threads, plenty of times.

Glad to see the information in my Threads are being put to good use.  ;D

2K is just another name / label for 2-part.

2K is what Spray Max calls their two part urethane paints. I have never seen two part paints referred to this way any place else. It just got picked up as part of the forum vernacular.
