Richard Sherman died
« on: October 08, 2013, 07:08:26 PM »
I have just learned that "Dick" Sherman has passed away this past weekend.  While he was a AMA Hall of Fame inductee he was best know for the fantastic museum he built in Plymouth, NH. Several years ago I was taken to this unbelievable museum by my then business partner Jim Carpenter.  It took  two full days to see it all, and I have an 8 hour video showing the length and breath of Sherman's life time work.  CLW magazine also featured Dick in a previous issue.  The contents of this museum is now in the hands of John Brodak and will be shown and remembered with Dick's name featured.
Anyone that has ever seen Sherman's collection will fondly remember him and his work.  For those that  have never had the opportunity to see it the collection filled a three story home, with only the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom free of fantastic engines, planes, plans ect, ect. RIP Dick.

I've flown combat with Dick's son and grandson many times. They are good people and I'm saddened to hear of their loss.

Condolences to the Sherman family on the loss of their eldest Richard.
