Mike...
So sorry to hear that we lost one of our most gifted and artistic friend to modeling.
Hey Gang!
Let's post some of Bill's amazing projects. His canopy molding technique was awesome..

My deepest condolences to his family and legions of friends and fellow modelers the world over.

Yes this is very sad news.  What is going to happen to his business or has he closed it down before hand.  My best to his family in this time of sorrow.

Mike,
Sorry to hear about Bill passing away. I talked to him several times last summer when he made a couple of canopies for me. The canopies were top notch. Bill used to be a member of the Norfolk Aeromodelers back in the 1960’s. Once in awhile Bill would scan an old picture from back then of the old club members flying and email it to me, just to stir me up. Bill had a great talent and loved model airplanes. My sincere condolences to his family.

So sad. I didn't even know he was in the hospital. I haven't even talked to him in a few months so now I'm sorry I didn't give him a call. Damn. Bill loved modeling and kit making. I'm glad I have a couple of his nice kits still to build. Bill was a great help when I built his Playboy kit for VSC 21. I attached a pic of that plane.
Prayers for Bill and his family. He will be greatly missed.

Sorry to hear this! Bill and I use to have all nite rap sessions on the chat room. He had a passion for cooking and we swapped recipes too. A true gentleman and a fantastic gifted modeller.

God speed Bill, see you later my friend...

What devastating news. Bill and I spend allot of time on the phone talking modeling and techniques. I never met him face to face, but we had real nice relationship long distance. So sorry to hear this and I extend my thoughts and more importantly my prayers to and for the family.

Recently I've given up getting "stuff" until I know I'm about to use it. I've accumulated far too much like this.
On second thoughts, we're losing friends so fast these days it might be best to get what you might want from folks who supply goods while the're still around.
Bill supplied the leather wing fillets I used restoring Bob Palmer's Radial Cowl T'bird, f.o.c. Thanks Bill, and :

Sincere condolences to Bill's family.

I don't think it matters why he is logged on. No matter how you cut it we have lost a good person. Spent a lot of time in the "chat room" with Bill and always enjoyed chatting about whatever came to mind. I wonder who will take care of his Mom now?

That is a real loss, my condolences to the family. The modeling community will sorely miss his kits and canopies.
I recently did the CAD work for  a new kit for Bill. I enjoyed working with him.

I'm greatly saddened. Bill visited me in Las Cruces a while back. He had planned to move to New Mexico
and had property near Albuquerque.

I met Bill years ago on the internet and I drafted AutoCAD plans and laser cutter drawings for his
kit versions of the Playboy and Continental.

Bill had kidney failure several years ago and had been on dialysis regularly until several months ago. He
was doing well in that regard as I understood it. He even called me here in December in Advanced Care Hospital of
Southern New Mexico. We had long conversations about all the vegetables he was growing, and of course
about model airplanes.

Goodbye to a good friend, craftsman and a very nice guy.

That is a shame. Bill called me several times and we had a few long conversations about all things CL. Out of the blue he sent me some fillet material about ten years ago...just as a sample of his wares. I had meant to try them but never did. I will surely think of him when I finally get around to using it. It was easy to recognize his passion for the hobby.
Our condolences from the Sunderlands to his family.

I didnt know him personally - But its always a wave of sadness whenever a member of the Stunt community passes.

Our condolences to the Sawyer family.
I never met Bill, but like others met up with him in the chat room and bought a few canopies from him. Great customer service. One canopy I ordered never made it to my mail box. I let Bill know and he sent me another one that showed up in just a few days.
He will be missed.

I have lost a good personal friend in Bill.  He was always running his ideas for new stuff past me, and I enjoyed all the conversations about anything he had on his mind.  Our visits during the Huntersville meets were always a part I looked forward to.  His generosity was wide spread.  He was involved in mnay different areas, not only model building, kit making and canopies.  Always word on his vegiies, etc., and he was truly a good hearted man.

I send my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to his family.

We used to chat in the chat room and on the phone. Enjoyed discussing gardening and of course, modelling with Bill. I know his wife helped him with their first rate canopies. He will be greatly missed. He was a great guy. My deepest sympathies to his wife, family and friends. Fly high Bill and thanks for everything. Peace be with you.   Mike Boucher

It has been a while since this notice.   Had someone E-Mailing me about an address.  I told him several ways of doing it as I couldn't find it here or on SSW.   I did find this picture of him in better days with his friend Travis.   May he rest in peace.
