Very sorry to hear this.  Enjoyed my interactions with him and particularly liked his UKey ARF offerings.

Very sorry to hear this.  The kits he offered were obviously a labor of love and effort to promote the hobby.

Condolences and prayers for his family.

This is kind of a shock.  I know he was in bad health but kept going.  First met him at the first Tri-Cities NATS and was treated like he knew me all his life.   Was hoping to see him again.   :'(

Sad news. I never personally met Joe but have conversed with him off and on for quite some time here on the forum. Seemed like a really nice guy who certainly had a passion for the hobby and it's people. My condolences to family and friends, thanks for everything Joe.  H^^

I met Joe at a couple of contests.  He was a very nice guy, generous with his time, committed to carrier, and always open to new ideas.

Truly interesting and intelligent guy.

Bob,    Joe lived in Waitsburg, Washington, and in earlier years Sunnyside, Washington.  (southeast side of the state) He was originally from upstate New York, but do not know when he moved west.  I first met him in the early 1980's.

Very sorry to hear this. I bought 4 Ukie 35 kits that Joe and Jim Carpenter had produced years ago. Great trainers for the kids. J&J would always toss in some extra goodies to the box. Both of them great guys...now gone.
