Sadly today I found out that we lost another great friend in our hobby; Jim Silhavy...

Jim's wife Franny returned my call this evening and informed me that Jim had passed away.
Actually he passed on Jan. 6th 2022. She didn't have an up to date address book for Jim's friends, so she didn't know
how to reach anyone, not even his fellow club members could be notified.

Jim was 90 years young and until that day he was a very healthy man and they were together 30+ years.

He went into the other room and she heard a lound noise, seconds later she found him on the floor
and he was already gone.

She also said Jim was a very religious man so God spared him any pair or suffering..

God Speed, Jim.

Guys keep in touch with your friends regularly.

Thank you and God Bless

Sad to hear the news but we know he is in a better place.  Missed him at VSC when he was there from what I was told that year.  Another of my heros gone.

Sad to hear. He was the designer of the Midwest Magician. I have built more of those than any other model. Still have 2 hanging in my man cave.
