I will say a prayer for his quick recovery.  I look forward to competing against him in the near future.

HI Brad,

Thanks fro the information.  I will keep Jim and his family in my prayers.  I, too, met him at Brodak's.  He is inspirational.

Does anyone know his phone number in the hospital? I've known Jim since the early 1970s. He's a great guy.

Our firend Jimmy passed on to the otherside last night at 11:30. He will be missed. Jimmy would always watch my pattern and when i finished he would go over it with me, usually the first thing he would say was where is the point on the triangle and your hourglass he would just shake his head i would look at him and smile.

Bob, not sure if anyone has told you but Lloyd called me early this morning with the sad news, He had talked with Jim and mentioned your Phone call really meant allot to him and made his day.

He will be missed by a bunch of us..

Jim was really a wonderful friend.  When returning to the sport after a long layoff, he worked with me to understand the beginner pattern with a plane he gave me.  He would talk me thru the pattern, tell me what I did right and tell me were to correct.  He talked me thru what to look at/for when trimming a new plane.  I will miss the guy greatly.  The guy would kick you in the @$$ when you needed it, but would just as easily let you know when you did a good job.  He was a great coach, teacher and inspiration.   :'(
