There is no way I can make the tribute you guys have planned, but I will be thinking of him.
Truth be told, I was planning to giving Bill my Thunderbird at VSC next March. That is why it was painted up like Mr. Palmer's '59 Bird.
I know he would have been tickled to have it hanging on his wall

He was a good man and I wish that I could have known him better.

Keith:

I wish there was some way that I could make it to the tribute for Bill.

I just spoke to Elaine on the telephone and expressed my condolences personally.

Thank you for holding the tribute for Bill. He was a great guy whom everyone liked. He will be missed.

I remember the first time I met Bill in 2002 at VSC. Every time I talked to him after that it was like we had known each other for years. He was a very knowledgeable but very humble person. He was very kind and cheerful, and this is a great loss to those who knew him. Wish I could be there also.

Bill and his wife came to the Brodak FlyIn several times and that's where I met him. I appreciated his candor and attitude. My wife and his visited the sites of western Pennsylvania and the two of them enjoyed each other's company. We are both truly saddened to learn of his passing. Our little community has lost yet another fine person.

In deepest sympathy and love,

I too wish I could be there.  They are one great couple.  Haven't talked to Elain yet as I get too emotional at times.  Give her a big hug from the old DOC for  me.
