Can anyone tell me the anticipated fuel need when doing the pattern? The plane is a Fancy Pants, 33 oz., 10/6 prop, and 2.5 oz. tank (non-uniflow, muffler pressure). Thanks
Both my Saito .30 and (2) Saito .40'S use about 2.5 Oz per pattern flight with some fuel left over.
I use 15% nitro with 20% synthetic oil ("Wildcat"). Powermaster 20% probably runs for a shorter
period of time due to the added nitro displacing the alcohol. You can even run the .30 on 10% nitro.
For sure, discard the Saito glow plug and use an OS "F" plug. You should try a 10-5 prop as well. I like
XOAR props for classic planes as they reduce the amount of lead you have to add to the tail on a plane designed
for 1 6.5 OZ Fox .35 with no muffler.
My four strokes don't recover from burps well if they aren't set too lean.
With the Fancy Pants, you have a bit of a problem, since four strokes should be mounted either
side-saddle or inverted to insure lubrication of the valve system.
The OS .25 FP is also good fit to the FP and likes to be mounted upright.

PS : You can mount an OS .25 FP in the Saito .30 mounting holes.
