Initial spool up question
«
on:

The default setting on my Phoenix Lite 75A for initial spool up rate was low (2). I tried it and it takes awhile to run up to rpm. Is it better to have it set to the high spool up rate (
. What is the up and down side?

if the nose on yoru airplane is fragile,, it could rip it off with torque spool up,,
it also puts a higher amp load on the esc on fast,,

I take about 3 to 4 secs to get up to full RPM. Why risk a quick start and the extra wear on the system.

I use Jeti Spin and it has setting directly in seconds, I found 3 to 4 seconds to be most confortable, especially on grass, I can react and I feel much safer on starts than with shorter times and far far better then when someone releases model at full power.
