Can anyone  tell me if the the Enya 61CXLRS PRO uses the same piston and liner set as the Enya 61 CXRS Pro? 

I cannot find parts listings for the motors and  I want to convert  my 61CXRS PRO side exhaust into a rear exhaust  61CXLRS PRO  by ordering  and fitting a rear exhaust case.  These  motors and spare parts are being manufactured again according to the En ya website http://www.enya-engine.com/ListCL_E.html

Brian.  You are correct about the piston being different.  I have heard from Ken Enya.  This is what he said:


If you would like to convert to 61CXLRS from 61CXRS,
you have to change

crank case, piston,

------------------------------------------------------
1 x crank case (without bearing)  (61CXLR03A) = JPY 4,700
or
1 x crank case (with bearing)  (61CXLR03) = JPY 6,450
and
1 x piston  (61CXLR04B) = JPY 2,400

I have now set about ordering the parts.

Plus the costs with the header and muffler.

Just wondering if the crankcase is made like the MVVS ones with 4 ports cast in them and then the liners rotates in 90º increments to line up for use with three of them.

This would leave a vestige of an unused transfer port under the exhaust port if true - and it would appear that way from pictures.

Ah, so the cast shape under the exhaust that 'looks' like it should be hollow inside for a transfer port is simply left solid for the RE version.
