LA40 in place of a OS35 s ?
« on: June 12, 2013, 01:14:03 PM »
Just wondering if an LA40 (or FP40) can be fitted where an OS35s is currently? I've  been given a 3 line model  to play with but the OS lacks power. The plane is only going about 50mph and on anything but calm days its not worth the risk.. Its a 50" wingspan and built up fusalage, I don't want to cut away the nose area to put in new bolts..any ideas please.

I think the 35FP and the 40 LA and FP are the same. My son runs a 40FP in a 50in wing with no problem in the wind.

Yes, the bolt pattern on the OS35-S is the same as the FP and LA. Case is shorter though, not a problem. Brodak 40 will also fit. 8)
