Super Tigre 46 Bullring engine
« on: August 27, 2007, 08:36:30 PM »
Hi guys, has anyone had any luck with the ST 46 Bullring engine? Its a nice looking motor but seems to only want to run hard. She sure has a lot of power, has anyone put this engine on a pipe? Would it work on a pipe? I had this engine for several years and she looks so pretty I install her in a ship and I get disappointed everytime. Just for the heck of it I put a 14/6 prop on her, she didn't seem to like it to much. I guess that makes us even, I don't like the way she runs. The OS Max 46 SF, ABC, seems to run the same way. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it. Have a great day, Gary

Saw a used one in a hobby shop once, what struck me was it looked really heavy for a 46 so didn't give it another thought. What you are describing is typical of RC timed two strokes, they like to screem and the only way to tame them is either get it re-worked or be happy with a low pitch hi rpm set-up.
