ST V51 and SV11
« on: April 18, 2006, 03:57:45 PM »
Is the ST V51 enough engine for a SV11? Also is the V51,56,and 60 interchangable as far as bolt patern?  Thanks

Answer to your second question.   YES -- The ST V51, V56, and the V60 -all use the same Crankcase casting - and therefore have the same bolt pattern.

Hi Randy,

I flew with Alice Cotton-Royer for a number of years. She flew an SV-11 with a Tom Lay ST .51. This was a special version that Tom made for her. The engine  has plenty of power, even if you tend to build a bit heavy. No offense Alice, yours flew great, in fact she  had two of them. Second  one wore out the controls. Amazing flying companion as her husband Dave will agree. Ask Tom Lay about the "Sweet Alice .51".

Hi Gerald

Yes thanks.  I saw  her  plane  fly and it worked well for her. There has  been  many  ST G 51s  in  SV-11s  and  people have been very happy with the  combo.

regards
Randy

Hi Randy,

I don't know if you remember, but a 64 oz. SV-11 w/ST G-51 was the plane that jump started me, and later Aaron.  Great combination!
