Yesterday I picked up a Super Tigre .51. It has no ears to mount a muffler and has CHROMED molded into the crankcase below the mounting lugs. It has an RC carb on it. It is a ringed engine and compression is super. This moter was made pre Chinese.
My only Super Tigre engine experience was with the older G21 35s with the perry porting about 35 or so years ago. This 51 has what appears to be the same type of mounting for either a carburator or venturi. As my old ones had the venturi held on by the VA I had no problem irh changing to the wide or narrow venturi. On this one the carb is held in place by what appears to be a brass pin of some sort where the NVA would go for a C/L setup with the venturi. My question, finally, how do I get the brass pin out so I can mount the NVA?
In case my discription of the engine sucks to bad I can upload a picture later if necessary.
I've read other posts about super Tiger engines but was never sure which one/ones were being talked about.
