What is a good starting lenght fo a pipe on a O S 46 VF ? and what RPM ?

Geez........ it's been a while, but no one else has answered, so.........

IIRC, 17 1/4 and about 10,600 with an Eather 3-3/4 pitch 3 blade prop, *about* 12" diameter. That was with Randy's "old" 40-46 pipe.

I could be off here, but maybe it will spur someone to correct me!

Thank Bill I was just setting up the pipe tunnel on my new plane, and I wanted to check if I was in the ball park, it is set at 17 1/4" now so I guess
I can build around it . can go longer if needed.

HI larry

You need to make sure you can get the pipe out to 18 1\2 inches

My OS46VF ended up about 18.5 inches. I'd leave the room.
