What would be a good starting point 2 or 3 blade prop for a Tempest II / PA 51 Pipe combo and the advantages or not between 2 or 3 blade and brands available. Thank You Walt

The Bolly 12.2 x 4.2  2 blade and the Bolly 12 x 4.25  3 blade are the best to start, This is what I use on my 51  and  are  excellent choices.

Both have advantages and disadvantages, just a few  are :
three blades are quieter, the are also a little less prone to wind whip up , and sometimes are more of a constant speed. Two blades are easier to turn, are lighter, cycle faster  4\2  , load the motor less
I can use either with great results, just have a little bit differant setup with the two differant props

Thank You Bill and Randy for the suggestions, looks like I will start with a two blade and go from there. The PA 51 I have was bought back in 1996 and was able to purchase it from a friend who decided it was to much at the time for him. He had bought a Bolly two blade then that I have looking at the scribe ID it looks to be a 12.6x3.8 I think a little tough to read. I'll put a little chalk to it and see if it reads better but will purchase a new prop in those numbers above. Thanks All Walt
