OS 46VF Modifications
« on: February 02, 2007, 05:56:02 PM »
I have several 46VFs. I have one new and several in RC planes that were used very little and some a lot. What are the required mods to make them into CL engines. Venturi, head gaskets, retiming???? Also, what fuel is recommended when running in a stunt configuration.

Thought I my put one in one of my planes for testing.

All information is appreciated.

Thank you,
Bruce ???

WE ran one 46VF and several 40VFs.  Did nothing but order a venturi from Randy Smith and set the pipe to his recommnedations.  Sig 5% Champion fuel.

I think the 46VF used a 12 X 4 Bolly 3 blade when we flew it.  For whatever reason, I didn't like it as much as the 40VF.  Just personal preference I guess.

Bill...
I think that the VF .40 is favored by many....and by good guys, like Walker and Buck...

Thank you,
I think I might have one VF 40 in the mix. I'll have to call Randy and order some Venturis and Needle assemblies.

Thank again,
Bruce
