If you were able to get in contact with Fast Richard, mebbe he recalled any construction differences. Not sure who else might know. Possibly Keith Trostle. If I recall correctly, he is a serious fan of Chizlers.
As far as the RSM kit, I've got one to build and it appears to be RSM-good. I don't think you would be disappointed. Of course, every kit that goes in the box would require the same attention to get that result. I trust the new owner over there understands the legacy he's got since he worked there all along.
Anyway, I hope you get good answers to your questions, and I hope you end up with a fine, new "chiseled" airplane.
