My first Stalker
« on: December 09, 2006, 06:03:10 PM »
I ran my first Stalker 46 today; it ran great.   ;)    The plane size is just a little bigger than a Nobler.  The best 4-2 run I have ever had.  I really like it much better than the Super Tiger 46, and some better than a Super Tiger 60 (and I really like the 60!).  I love that classic 4-2-4 run.  Engine very easy to set needle valve.  Very wide range in 2-4 setting.  Real user friendly.

Jimmy :)

Hello, very interested in your setup.
I´m running a Stalker 46 plain bearing on my 46 oz ARF Cardinal, but engine tends to run too much in two cicle, probably cause to high compression ratio.
Let us know if possible fuel, prop and ground tach to have an usable reference.
Thanks.
Manuel.

1 I'm using 10% Power Master with add caster oil , 22% in all.
2 prop is a 12-6 zinger cut down to 11 1/4 , but 11-6 air master all so work good ( just like wood prop )
3 fuel tank unflow not using muffer presser
            4 head shim .o45
5 needle super tiger, when setting needle I have a good turn and haft , that it will do that 4-2-4 run.

  The stalker is not a G 21 46 Super Tiger , it's a lot better I think. I have 6  G21 46 Super Tiger and I like them , but
   my Staker is better.

                                             I hope this helps.   Jimmy  <= #^

It is the plain bearing . Have you check your back plat gasket? tank? These engine are so user friendly,it   make me think there is something wrong with the engine or tank. Your engine is broken in right.

                                                 Good Luck   Jimmy

Thanks, will check and let you know. Probably mine will like less compression, to run more in the 4 strokes.
Thanks again.
Manuel.

Hi guys, I talked to Kaz the other day and asked him about the 76RE. He said its not available yet, but they have a 66RE now which is available. I plan on getting one. He says they run even better than the 61re. I hav run the 55RE and the 61SE. Both engines are super easy and run like a swiss watch. I cant wait to run the 66. I have good luck with the Sig plug, Sig fuel with 10% nitro 10% castor 10% synth. Kaz told me to run one extra head shim for each 10% nitro. I ended up using two extra in the 55 on a cool day to get the extra fuel economy. From my experience the Stalkers all like around a 6 pitch prop.
