Making model engine rings
« on: January 19, 2017, 04:52:56 PM »
Does anyone know of any videos out there showing how a model engine ring is made. I've seen videos of larger rings being made in a shop. Just curious as to how much the manufacturing differs from a full size ring. (I would have loved to watch how Frank Borman made his rings)

Thanks,
George

I've never done it, so I can't comment on how it'll work.  But here's a link: http://www.modelenginenews.org/feeney/pg8.html.

Lots of cool stuff on that site.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.
