Magnum 32 : Round Head v Square Head , any difference ?
« on: September 30, 2008, 06:53:42 AM »
I've seen both ' round ' and the later ' square'  headed Magnum 32's around.

Any internal differences ?

I've got a 'square' headed 36 and it's the most surprising engine I've aquired for a long time.

Would appreciate the advice of anyone with experience of this super engine. [The 32 that is .]

Kind regards and thanks ,

Magnum built a 36 with a round head that weighed around 9.5oz. bare.  The smaller square head motor weighs about 8.25 oz. bare.  They both run about the same.  The square head 36 is a pretty good stunt engine out of the box, used by PT Granderson with good success.

I got a 32 square head (before the 36 SH was available).  It was a screamer and I couldn't get it tamed down.  It wanted to run fast no matter what.

Phil , very much obliged for the information regarding the '32' ...... I was on the point of buying one !

I'll stick to the '36.

Regards and thanks ,

Robin.
