K&B Stallion 36??
« on: December 09, 2013, 09:06:07 PM »
No..it's not a typo.....
Was flipp'n through the pages of the 'American Model Engine Encyclopedia', by Tim Dannels, on a different quest.
Came across page #137, picture #70, and saw a typical Stallion 35, May 1963 version. But something didn't look just right . Nor did it look like mine. So upon closer examination the case has the typical raised 'Stallion' and three 'sun burst rays' focusing on the displacement number. Yep! 36! No mention of it being a 36 in the description or another engine guide that I have.
So...Does this (36) engine exist? Does anyone have one? Reason for 36 instead of the traditional 35??
Just curious.....
OK....I wanna find out ALL ABOUT IT!
There....I said it...
Any assistance or guidance (Other than a 'white coat') would be GREATLY appreciated!
Many thanks in advance & "Tight Lines!" H^^

I just looked at my copy. Looks like "35" to me. There was no Stallion 36.

I think it's a goof.  I have 5 .35s.  I don't recall anything else.

Made me wonder so when I got home I looked my bunch over.  All .35 but I can see where with bad light and bad reading glasses that might look like .36.

Agreed. I looked at the book, then some of my Stallions. I can see where the "5" could be mistaken for a "6" on a couple of them.
