HI Jim

The obvious  i s power  will be  down, you can also turn the engine over  slowly and tell  if it is  losing compression.
Turn the engine over very slow both clockwise and counter clockwise, your motor should have  much better seal turning it clockwise, if it leaks down fast in that direction  it needs a new ring or other parts (sleeve etc).
Don't load it up with oil while doing this

Ran a K&B 40 in a Humongous for many, many flights, as time went on, I kept getting one flip starts, but the necessary prime kept increasing.  Replaced the ring and went back to a light prime and there was a noticeable increase in power.  The decrease in power with ring wear had been so gradual I had not noticed it.
