Heat Ranges for Glow Plugs ( again)
« on: March 25, 2020, 08:55:56 AM »
I asked for this information in SSW but didn't write down the responses & now SSW is gone. So like Johnny Thunder sang .. " One more Time Now "  Can you guys tell me what makes a plug hotter? 2 kinds of plug bodies those with the cavity that the filament is in the first one  has a small bore & the second has a big bore . Which is hotter ?
   Thanks , John L.

Mr. M-Man:  Grrreat!  It doesn't get any simpler than that. Thanks.

For stunt and sport flying, just use a Sig p2003 plug.

Some of the modern schnuerle ported engines run better without the idle bar

This prior thread here on StuntHanger discussed much of this topic. It also refers to some prior analysis worth reading.
