I believe the Fox .59s had the same timing. I do have a suggestion or two, however. First, lose the exhaust baffle and install a good muffler. There are several sources, but Ithink MAACs has one of the best. Big and ugly, but fairly light.
Next, try to find a KAVAN carb that will fit the Fox intake boss. The Fox .59 carbs weren't the most advanced. OF course, if you can settle for no less than about ½-max power, the Fox carb will be OK; they just don't idle down and recover real well.
One other item is to build a solid nose section. The Fox .35 is often accused of being a "shaker", but this is mostly by folks who haven't tried the Fox .59.
