I am posting this after a search yielded some results. I do not know if they are being produced. The original was posted on the Open forum. I believe that it belongs here much better.

Hello!
I did a search on the LA backplate and found this thread. I just bought one (LA .46 C/L)for the first time at the LHS. I ran it on a test plane and could see bubbles emerging from the plastic backplate mating face to the crankcase    Are you still making these? If not,
is there any outfit that retrofits the plastic POS backplate to a normal aluminum?
