Fox 049 spraybar
« on: July 13, 2012, 02:18:50 PM »
I received my engine I bought on the bay and its pretty much as described except the spray bar is crushed. I think someone grabbed it with pliers. I had to drill the thing out so i have nothing left to measure. anyone have an idea what will work? The engine is the sport model, not the FAI.

Hello Phillip, I've made several purchases from this seller on Ebay. Items were delivered but some took a bit of time. All in all he provides a good service to Fox users. He has this and probably has much more. http://www.ebay.com/itm/232-VINTAGE-FOX-049-NEEDLE-VALVE-BODY-ENGINE-PART-710-/260997176335?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cc4a4dc0f  Another provider of Fox.049 parts is Doug Martin. I don't have his contact, a quick search might reveal it though. Ken           I did find this I don't know if it's current dougsengines@hotmail.com

I wanted to here the little engine run, so I polished down a testors NVA I had that was close. I made one run slow and rich and let it cool completely . The second run i set the needle on the wet side of full power. It turned the 5 1/2x3 tornado 16100 average rpm. The fuel draw seemed good, and it ran steady. Im very happy with it.
