Just an update: Evo 60 two thumbs up. After running it awhile it just keeps getting better. Small venturi, ST NV (probably not necessary, just had one so tried it) One extra head gasket, RSM 12x5.5 prop, Powermaster R/C 10% fuel. (Too much castor oil in GMA 11/11 for this engine). Launch RPM 8700, strong 4/2/4 run. Pulls my 62 ounce 46 size T-Bird with authority. Had to change the name of the plane from ThunderDog back to ThunderBird.  8)

Sounds good. I don't have my flying machine finished yet so would you please advise me what the fuel consumption is with your EVO 60? I will get it on the bench this weekend and will go standard for a while, with small insert. However I am in need of just how big of a tank I will need in the machine. MANY Thanks for any help you can provide.

We've flown the Evo 60 using about 5.5 ounces for the pattern.  A six ounce tank would be appropriate for most
circumstances, I believe.  That's a commercial metal uniflow, with ram air only, no muffler pressure.

Thank You, much much. That sounds very good. I didn't make the tests today but hopefully this week. That gives me plenty room for what I am doing. My tank will be a Tetra Bubbless tank. Having been using them in RC for a while now and the engines run smooth, and dependable, even if flying till it quits. After a few flights I will know just how much to syringe in. (Ihope, I hope, I hope.  :o)
Your information makes me OK as I am using a 7 OZ. tank.

Again, Thank you much for your kind response.

Just got back from a contest in which Pete Cunha  flew his 46 size T - Bird with the Evo 60. Ran excellent. His main comment was do not use our common stunt fuel . Use R/C fuel 10/18 or so.  5/18 . It does not like lot of oil. This was in the initial directions from the designer. Very smooth , easy to start,
nice soft 2-4 break . Does not shake like the ST .60. This is an excellent 60 for $139.00. Comes with 2 venturi, and two mufflers, uses inexpensive fuel.

If you do not want to run a pipe or pay $400 for a motor here is a good one
