Aero Tiger .36 ran fine for 10 laps then went lean.
« on: July 02, 2013, 12:45:45 PM »
I have a new Aero Tiger .36 from Randy Smith.. Last week I made a first flight on a Cavalier I purchased from John Simpson.  I take it out for my first flight. Fueled with 4 oz of 5% Nitro fuel.  One flip start. took off nice 4 stroke.  After about ten laps it broke into a very lean run and long story short pulled my arm out of the socket.
The tank is a sort of uniflow, hand made by John. Seems I got the over flow and uniflow mixed up when I installed tubing.
I am passing this on to any that may have this happen. Don't blame anything but two crossed fuel lines. That simple.. Embarrassing yes, but very quickly fixed.

I've done that before with my Trivial Pursuit, except I only got about three ounces of fuel in the tank and couldn't understand why.  Went back to the shop and discovered what I did.  Oops  :P

Guess we all do it at some point during out time flying
