theyre for this sucker , OS 40 FSR-S powered .
http://stunthanger.com/smf/stunt-design/blame-the-adaminsons-or-what-to-do-with-a-40-fsr-s/the balance is well forward. as intended . So dont wish excess weight at the nose . And chose to keep the spinner Cut Outs limited .
The Tornado 12 x 5 nylons still nice and flexable , for a yellow one. Guess ive armourall' it . ? But its weighty .
Good start for a prop from scratch is one face clean , 1/4 hole thru center to get matching grain Ea Side . Mark the ' blank' ( blade outline )
True in with plane , scraper , sanding block etc. Match the HUB front face . Us the verieer to get all these exact & mark up the underface
at edges , plane & dress ( file ) in the underface . Throw a line say 5/16 odd ( more & less along ) the Fwd. edge , carve that and youve got
your traing edge . Mark L.E. up , again . ( if you didnt already ) and back away ( a half or 3/4 varying along ) and get your front planed in and matched. That Verneer to check again.
Marking back AGAIN say 3/8 & 1 in. plus , gets you your top face along the Max. depth . S'f all more than dressing across then with 80 or 100 Wt. on a block will get the curve started .
After that your a bit cautious , and hold up to the light , and things like that . Best to start with well overlength blank & two Vices set
length plus 4 in apart . Gets tiresome swapping blank end for end. So if youve got a tree cut off waist hight , level the ground around it
and set your vices there .
