Suggestions for SAFE...staying upright CL landings
«

My brother is having difficulty withCL planes toppling over at impact when landing in grass. He is requite skilled and has flown many years. I'd like some suggestions for improving his landings...from my past I stepped toward the plane on impact adding full up to create an upright landing...Any other suggestions? We keep loosing rudders!! Thanks

Ron you will get a lot more views and some advice if you pose your questions in another area here on Stunt hanger and on the cox engines forum
Here in the vendors corner, I know Bernie the Cox International owner rarely checks for posts
While I do have a few roll on ground 1/2a planes, most of them flip on landing grass or pavement...I prefer to fly over grass with out landing gear

Hi Ronald:
You did not say what size of a plane you are asking about re, landings.
What I have learned, is to go to about 3" wheels and/or move the landing gear forward on my 35 size airplanes.
Good luck,
