World Cup of F2D in Muncie 2024.
« on: October 11, 2023, 04:59:58 PM »
"Just asking for my friends".

What does it take to enter the 2024 World Cup in Muncie 2024.?

We have number of F2d'ers in the area who have entered TT in the past and even been on past USA F2D teams.  So what is the path to entry in The World CUP which will go before the FAI World CHAMPIONSHIP in 2024?

Entry in the World Cup event is open to anyone with an FAI license. There will be a limit on the number of entries for time reasons. Entry will be first come, first served. Entries are not being accepted yet, but it will be publicized in advance when entry will open. The entry procedure will be the same for F2A, C, and D. It will be separate and distinct from Nats entry.

There will be a website where registration will occur. As is typical/required, entry will be limited.. .... Registration will open at some pre-determined time.

All should keep in mind that as an FAI World Cup contests, an FAI license will be required as well as an AMA license (member or affiliate).

Thank you for this valuable information.

For those who are not on a selected team, what is the process for obtaining an FAI Sporting Licence?

An FAI License is purchased through the NAA. Visit this website and it should be self-evident:

https://naa.aero/membership/fai-sporting-license/

(Admittedly, that site is  ...  cumbersome.)

Thank you.  And for those who don't care to mess with the NAA wen site, it's $50 for a full year of membership and $45 for a reduced membership.  They say it's only a 3-day process.

So, I guess these who intend to compete can hold their fire until the target is in sight.
