Rouge Park, Detroit, Michigan

Speed Limit Combat

Brad LaPointe    3-0
Bob Burch   2-1
Vadim Polack   2-1
Ed Brzys                1-2
Ivan MacKenzie, Pat MacKenzie, Yaroslav Milkovak, and Don Sopka 0-1.
As a footnote: although he didn’t win anything in this contest, Don was selected for the great honor of representing his Ohio district at the National Convention in Tampa this year.  Way to go, Don !!  We’ll be watching for you on TV.

Slow Combat

All-out AMA Rules, 36’s, nothing ends the match.

Ed Brzys                   2-0
Ron Colombo      0-1
Mike Evans      0-1

Fast Combat

Yaroslav Milkovak        2-0  (first known win by a Russian-Canadian in America’s event)
Ed Brzys           2-1
Bob Burch, Mike Evans, and Ron Colombo   0-1.

There aren’t many people left in the world who still fly these events, or even come within a kilometer of one.  But most of the survivors are at Rouge Park.  At the point, Yaro is the last new person in the world to take up FAST.

Sunday, 15 F2D entries - very good for non-TT contest !!

I centered-judged the first dozen-or-so matches, then took off another commitment.  Pat MacKenzie forwarded the results.

There were 2012 F2D team members from the USA, Canada, and Bulgaria entered, and a lot of non team members showing 'em no respect.  There were also a goodly numbers of Russians about.  I assume some of them will be competing for team positions after sitting out one cycle.

1st @ 6-0 Ivan MacKenzie
2nd @ 4-2 Pat MacKenzie
3rd @ 3-2 Lou Scavone,Dimitre Valkanov ,Ed Brzys
6th @ 2-2 Bob Burch,Andrew Nadien
9th @ 1-2 Ron Columbo ,Brad LaPointe,Radick Magzianov
12th @ 0-2 Ron Machionni,Mike Evans,Steve Stewart,Vadim Polak,Yaro Melnikov

Paul,
Thank you for posting the results.  I was in the colonies but forgot that the event was taking place otherwise I would have come down for a peek at the action.
