On Friday, the weather was pleasant enough, if you don't mind a 20-30 MPH wind. Everything except combat and racing was deferred 'til later. 'Cause of the wind, there were a lot of bloody crashes, but the better flyers still put up some good matches.

In addition to the usual resident contestants, we had a goodly number of US TT entrants on hand. After sitting out a half-day rain delay, we had a great afternoon of streamer-cutting low cost combat. The players must have gotten the goon hockey out of their systems yesterday, because this was one of the most crash-free F2D tourneys in ages.

The proposed 1/2A lounge act went by the wayside along with most of the other fun-fly sideshows. We had enough passible weather to fly the scheduled events, but not much more.
All of these events substantially outdrew their counterparts at the similar-named contest last July. The National President of MAAC attended all three days and even scored some F2D bouts.
I think Brad's farm, known as The Beanfield is in second place behind Brodak's on the list big contests held on private property.
