Does anybody have any experience with the Evolution .36 Control line engine?

Beercamel, I'd like to hear about the Evo .36, too, and also if anyone has had any experience with the OS 35 AX.

Theres quite a few informative threads here on SH about the Evo 36 ..... mostly for stunt.
Have no idea how it would perform as a combat engine tho.

I think Jim Welch fiddled around with an EVO .36 for combat planes. I never did hear from him how it went.

Get the RC version. The CL version has a blocked booster port.

I have an Evo .36 mounted on a WW.II combat plane designed for combat at Brodak`s . Because of the extreme slow speeds used at that event slowing it down to 70 mph was my biggest challenge . 5% all syn. on a bladder swinging an APC 11 x 4 prop was what I ended up running .
The amazing thing about this set up was that it held a needle . An O.S. remote needle threaded into the smallest intake was used . This works for stunt also . Big props can be tough for holding a setting on a bladder but the EVO worked OK .
If you were to lean on this engine with small props and high nitro the crank may prove a bit fragile . My engine is a cl model .
