bladder pinch off

any one have a sketch or picture or availability of the wooden thing to pinch off the fuel line after you fill the bladder before you start the engine
Hemostats are too combersum for me to release quickly

I don't have a picture, but we made them out of hardwood engine mount stick, ground to an angle, with rubber bands for compression. As the writer states, they were a lot quicker than hemostats.  When I get time I'll try to make one or two.

Here is what I use. 

A plywood clamp 1/18 plywood, a sewing spool.  Rubber bands are wrapped on the front end for tension ( removed for a better picture)  Someone called this a "Texas close pin"  It works very easy to release. 

a wire clip that bolts to the airplane.   About 3 minutes to make and you can open it with 2 fingers.   


A swing weight shut off works ever better.  You can open it with a pinky and it is easy when flying alone.

If you know a nurse, they can get u an unlimited supply of several IV pinch off's that work great too. usually free. they just throw them away.

Hah those are the doll house sized ones. Didn't look at the size close. Either way harbor freight have ones that work as they are what I used.
