I think you mean the EE-Gad II which was ahead of it's time and actually did fly well. I'm pretty sure it was designed by Hi Johnson tho, and the plans are still available from Barry Baxters plan service. The orignal EE-Gad (also Hi Johnson) was very ugly (IMHO) and even higher aspect ratio. During that era, I built and competed with some of the EE-Gad II's (as well as some I modified to simpify the build) as I was given the plans by Hi and used "factory special" Johnsons on them. I have very fond memories of riding my bicycle to Hi's shop in the Orange/Tustin area of CA and watching Jack Garcia dyno'ing a batch of Johnson 35's and then giving me the best one of the batch for cost (around $10.00) if memory serves me right.

If it only took you 50 years to get around to the airplane, how long does it take to do the lawn?   Do you have a pic you could post?

I saw the pics of your Yegad and it looks very nice also.

I live in So-Cal and fly with Rich Lopez,Chuck Rudner, and others most week-ends at Whittier Narrows. I Don't compete much anymore but still fly alot of 1/2A (TD's and Fora/Cyclon stuff) and occasional F2D or 75-80MPH.
I also fly a little stunt with a group of retired guys at Whittier most Fridays.
