Fair price for ST G 21/35 PDP? MK II
« on: March 04, 2022, 01:27:43 PM »
      Hello Gang:

What would be a fair price to pay for the above engine?  The engine is new and unrun.

        Thanks,

         Frank

Might depend on what you are going to do with it.  The G 21 has really only one usable purpose in CL and that is combat (Nostalgia?).  In that case you are pitching that PDP carb and replacing it with CL gear.  If so ......  Maybe $75-$125.   If you are going to use it as some sort of RC engine then who knows.  There would be a lot of better choices for that.  It was a great engine but will likely need new bearings in the near future.  They used brass race bearings, open style.  Nitro eats brass in short order.

     Hi Dave:

     Thanks for the reply!

I have a DDD head for that engine but no longer have a good G21/35 to covert to Diesel.  I do have a G21/35 that I could could get pinched for Diesel use for about $35.00.  A friend of mine tried to sell ithe above engine for $60.00 four years ago but no takers.  He offered it to me yesterday fot $100.00.  Yes, I am a Diesel nut!

      Suggestion/comments

      Thanks

FWIW PDP is nothing to do with the carb, it is "perry directional porting"
There is a description of it in this review of an ST60:
