Lost mine in our house fire (30 years old).  Loads of fun in light winds.

Mr. Mike,
Is this what you've been looking for that 1/2A engine for? Just curious.

Hi Jim,

I found the 1/2 A engines I needed and yes, this is one of the models I wanted to put the engine on.  Years ago, I built a Carl Goldberg Gentle Lady and a SIG Riser.  I mounted a COX .049 on a SIG power pod and mounted that on the top of the wing of the model and flew them with rudder and elevator only.  It was a lot of fun.  SIG still sells the Riser and I am building one but the Gentle Lady is no longer in production and the ones I have found on EBay go for a lot more than I am willing to pay.  That is why I thought getting the plans and building one was the only option I am left with.

I want to thank everyone for their replies.  If anyone ever wants to sell a Gentle Lady Kit, and I can afford it, please let me know.

Brings back memories.  That plane was my inspiration for a 2 meter calm air plane I designed and flew in the early 80's.  Called it "Light and Variable". I added ailerons and spoilers and moved the stab to the top of the rudder but other than that it was a Gentle Lady.  In the right air it beat the typical designs of the day with ease.  Hardest part was keeping a light and variable foot on the winch! LL~

Gene that is the same setup I had years ago when I had one.  I like using the pod to get i in the air.
