I am looking for Plans or a kit for the original Dmeco Special "speedwagon". Not the one with the engine cowling, but DeBolts previous speedster from 1945-46 - was powered by a Hornet 60.

Thank you,

Phil,

I see that this is your first post, so welcome to the forum...you'll find it a vast resource of information and advise from hundreds of collective years of modeling experience.

Is this the plane you are looking for?   Sorry, I don't have any plans, but here's an authentic photo, with the designed himself holding the plane.  Must have been taken when he was still in the service.

I got this photo, an Atwood engine, and one of his speed trophies, all from Harold's estate when he passed away.  He was a member of a nearby RC club in Florida, and was a joy to talk to....he sure had some memory for controline modeling history.

The gentleman that handled the modeling portion of Harold's estate sent a lot of plans to AMA headquarters/museum.  They probably have not filed everything yet, but the original plans *just might* be there.

Good luck finding the plans.

Cheers,

Warren Wagner

Phil,  if you go to www.MODEL-PLANS.co.uk the chap that runs the site has a copy of the 1st version.  When you get on the site go to kit plans, the rest is straightforward.
