« on: June 01, 2010, 05:42:48 AM »
This is an Olympic Mk VI I have just finished. Power is electric with Turnigy 3542 at 1000 kv, 4s lipo, castle creations ice 50 esc, hubin fm9 flight manager timer system and apc electric prop. Finish is white ultracote, red monocote applied with the Windex method, and 3M auto pin stripping tapes in black, red, and gold. Weight with motor and no batteries is 44 oz. With packs 54 to 56 oz.

Boy you've got that right. I've done more building and modifying in the past two years than I did from 1974 till then. DOH!!

I love it, nice simple layout and I think it enhances the lines of the Olympic.  Hope she flies as well as she looks.  The weight should not be a problem as mine was in the same weight range.   H^^

Thank you John. No I don't anticipate a weight issue. Its not like I don't have access to enough power. That is one of the nice things in electric. If you need more power you just add it and lots of ways to do it.
