Is that purple stuff silk?

Really a cool project Ty.  I remember the purple and the green versions of the Minado - awesome, all bad ass attitude!

My first intent was to copy Tom Wardens purple Minado exactly. But I could never, ever get the colors right. I ended up paining over the purple silk.  The original has about ten different shades of metalic to dark purple, from Plymouth as I understand it.  So I just went for the "flavor" so to speak. By taking so long to finish, a ton of hanger rash has occured. Not to proud of the end result, but I got it about ready to fly.

Too bad this one, an actual copy of the original, isn't kitted. I'd buy two. No joke.

I did the same kind of thing with the Playboy. The "flavor" of the original without duplicating it exactly. Your Minado still looks "period correct".
I'd buy a Minado kit in a nanosecond if one was available.
