Jetco SHARK 15
« on: February 23, 2014, 08:07:30 PM »
I recently acquired an original Jetco SHARK 15 kit, and wanted to build it, but, to preserve the kit, I opted to cut all new parts, and build with them. I think it turned out great! Fox .15 BB for power, and it is plenty! I squished these pictures, so, maybe they will fit on one post.
I will build it. It's gonna be really difficult to find me with an ARF. I know every bit of my airplane!

Really cool!  I got the plans recently to build a couple for the grand kids  ( and maybe one for me for fun).  You did a great job.

That Shark looks really great and I know it should fly great for you.   I built one quite a few years ago and took it to the shop to show off.   Never got to fly it as a guy paid me twice as much as what I had in it.  I couldn't refuse.

Your Shark looks very good! Nicely built and finished, well done.

Good colour scheme on the model.

I've built two, for TD 09, one from the kit plans, the other from a Walter Umland kit.  They fly really well.

I still have a Walt Umland kit. My first one was great fun with an Enya 15. Like Doc my first one went for a good cause.

As a youngster this was one of the models I really wanted to build.  It flies really nicely for a .15 size profile.  With modern engines I would probably use an OS .10FSR or .10FP.  On .012 X 52' this should be a very good plane.  I have had two kits but never built one, still have the kit plans, though!
