I have one of Walter's Colossus kits that I'm planning to get into soon.  Did the Colossus ever have fuse mounted landing gear?

Thanks,

James

I've still got one under the bench. Will get to it eventually.

I think that the Umland Colossus was a very limited release. That makes the owners of this kit a very exclusive club. Of course it's magnificent.

Jim,

As far as I know they were all wing gear mounted.

Hi James

You can use a fuse mount  dural , or CF gear on the plane and still be perfectly legal to fly, It would be a good idea to keep it in the same position as the wing mount gear

The original Colosuss was designed and built on Naha, Okinawa in 1964. It was inspired by the Werwage Ares.

It won Stunt at the USAF Far East Championships held in Tachikawa, Japan in 1964.
