whats the best way to put in the arresting hook in a profile body? ??? pic. would be great.

I would choose the method used on the Brodak Guardian, two plywood teardrops, with a hole thru that supports the hook with a brass eyelet. The plywood tear drops also support a wire stop for hook travel. Works nicely and doesnt get yanked out.

Correct, it's a wheel collar so I can remove the hook any time I want. I have used the same setup on the last 3 profiles. Make sure you put a small flat for the collar set screw.

Thanks for the pictures, I could have never told him how to do it.  I also put a hardblock in the balsa between the plywood on mine with a brass tube bearing.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Roger, the latest issue of Control Line World has line drawings of several ways to install the hook as well as several drawings of sliders.
