Pete, todays "Plane a Day" is the Convair B-36. But the video of the day is more interesting. A ducted fan airplane or model is definately not a newer technology. Great site.

Read it, knew it would be on file - my "quick" line was poetic license, but thanks for pointing that out. Gotta to admit though, it was one dramatic action shot of a very rare bird. It also shows that C/L carrier planes aren't the only ones that deck-dive. OK, probably not the result of a deck dive but whatta bounce! I've seen a few Cessna's and a Mooney or two in similar attitudes, often with the same result...ouch!
