Rouge Park Contest, May 20
« on: May 21, 2007, 08:43:43 PM »
Here's a few pictures from Rouge, May 20.  A usual, the event was run by Mark Warwashana and Leon Rytarzyk.  I don't have "places & numbers" report, but in addition myself, Rick Essex flew, and a couple moe gents whose name I didn't get.  I'll amend this posting when Mark gives me some numbers.

I attempted to fly carrier for the first time since January 27, 1976.  I was able to get a nice High, and 100-point Landing, but the jury says my Low is still too high.  Anyway, a landing you can walk away from isn't bad.

The pictures don't show much, other than nice weather, a well-groomed circle, and that some carrier was happening.

Glad to hear that you have some carrier going on.  May have to get my Bearcat back together for sport carrier.  DOC Holliday

I sort of did "win" 15 Profile Carrier, but I was the only person who flew the event.  There were also a few unreportable efforts at Classes I & II.

I got the numbers for Profile from Marc Warwashana.  It's like a "record trials" for the big guys, which is to say, "no record, no report".

PROFILE CARRIER

1 Marc Warwashana       383.60
2 Rick Essex                 319.90
3 Gary Hull                    316.85
4 Leon Rykrarsyk           285.85

According the Janaury 2007 Model Aviation, the record was (and still is) 391.5,,,close,,,very, very close.
