Good answer. There are only TWO items from the old AMA Rule Book that matter are:
Low speed points are three times the difference in MPH between high and low speed.
By the old rules, a plane that went 80 high and 20 low would score 60 x 3 = 180 points.
Under the modern regime the score would be 80/20 x 10 = 40 points.
Both systems added in the high MPH in points, thus 80 points either way.
The modern system results in numerically lower scores, but generally the same placement.
The other difference is that the modern rules limit the low speed angle to 60 degrees.
The old rules used a 90 degree limit. But with no slider, it's though to hang over 60 degrees, even it the rules permit it.
